Virginia “Ginna” Kelly – Founder, Executive Director
Ginna started C4C to inspire others to climb and hike for a good cause! Ginna is formerly the Vice President and Attorney for the renewable energy non-profit AREI, Inc in Aspen, Colorado and was profiled as an “Eco Rock Star” in Origin Magazine. Masters, Yale; Juris Doctor, William & Mary Law School, B.A. & B.S., Virginia Tech.
Kait Schappert – Vice President & Climb Leader
Kait is our Vice President and lives in Aspen, Colorado. Kait was our 2014 Mt. Kilimanjaro Climb Leader and was able to successfully lead 10 people to the summit and raise over $10,000 for the Mokamazi Rhino Sanctuary. Kait is also leading our 2015 and 2016 Colorado “14er” Climb for Rhinos and our 2017 Mt. Everest Base Camp Trek. Kait has a Bachelors from the University of Connecticut and loves to ski, hike and travel the world.
Brooke Kelly Milligan – Coastal Scientist
Wilmington, North Carolina
Brooke is a Coastal Scientist and Director of Conservation of the Bald Head Island Conservancy located in Wilmington, North Carolina. Brooke has a Masters in Conservation Biology from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from James Madison University. Brooke was an intern at the Mote Marine Laboratory – Sarasota, Dolphin Research Program, studying the behavior of bottlenose dolphins in the Sarasota Bay. Brooke also participated in Duke University’s Marine Program in Beaufort, North Carolina, studying marine mammals.
Jessie Halter – Team Photographer
Jessie Halter is a travel photographer. She travels the world to capture the beautiful moments of time and space. She lives in southern oregon and is an avid conservationist for the land and animals. To Jessie, the greatest achievement in her career has been inspiring others to do the same. Jessie has gone on many C4C trips including trekking the Inca Trail, hiking to Mt. Everest Base Camp, and climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
April Kelly – Wildlife Conservationist / Climb Coordinator
New York, New York
April is a Wildlife Conservationist and International flight attendant located in New York City, NY. She has worked with large mammals in remote jungles, deserts, oceans and savannas all over the world. She has a Master’s degree in Zoology/Wildlife and Environmental Conservation from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She did her graduate field course work in Belize, Borneo and Namibia, working with manatees, primates and cheetahs. Her passion is in preserving and protecting endangered species. She participated in the 2016 Kilimanjaro climb.
